Acupuncture is a healing technique frequently used in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years.
Nowadays, very well known also in the West, acupuncture is an alternative or complementary therapy to other treatments. Its goal is to prevent and heal some specific diseases and ailments by inserting solid and thin needles in different body points, to improve the flow and balance of Chi (a source of vital energy or bio-electricity), placed though the “acupuncture meridians” (channels of bioenergy). In the Chinese medicine view, diseases are caused by an interruption of this bioenergy that affects our body’s organs and tissues.
During the acupuncture sessions, depending on the patients overall state of health and the presented pathology, Aline Tisato can also use some therapeutic tools such as stiperpuncture (acupuncture without needles), auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture), moxa (specific application of heat), cupping (suction technique applied to skin and muscle).
